Why is it that in horror movies the plot is always the same?

Everyone is partying, alcohol is involved, then it gets late and people start dieing.

  • Because that's what teenagers, the people who see the most horror movies, want to see. There are a lot of original ones out there, they just don't get the publicity of the others because anything aimed at teens/early twentysomethings always gets the most marketing.

  • have you ever noticed that there's always that one cop who shows up after someone one frantically called 911 for help, you'd think the cop is going to bring back up after someone's informed him that people are being murdered BUT instead he/she shows up alone, gets caught snooping around, and then gets murdered...and then at the very end of the movie all the squad cars show up lol, like hello where were they an hr ago? lol
