So it’s not uncommon to not date for a good year after a relationship?
I don't think it is common to wait that long but certainly it is not unusual.
I’m trying to contact someone who has been out of a relationship for a little less than a year. They have a demanding job though and sleep during the day and works nights. Do you think they are probably focused on their career now?
It is impossible to know. Just reach out and see how they respond.
If they don’t respond does that mean they need more time?
Either need more time, not interested in you, or already got someone else in their life.
