I don't know about you, but a lot of the Starbucks around here are noisy, crowded, and not at all the sort of intimate environment you'd want for a date!
I agree. She says yes then that says something about her personality, and its considerate since you don't even know if you'd have chemistry. The smell alone is pretty serene so BRAVO!
I agree. I think coffee dates or meeting up for drinks is always the best. Like you said, you can get out quick if it's terrible. Or prolong it if it's wonderful.
I wish I can take a girl to Starbucks on the first date. However, what if she has been to Starbucks all the time already? Or she wants something "unpredictable" or "exciting"?
lol nope he still gotta pay for me, I'm in the struggle money status, I personally can't stand the starbucks by where I live because its too crowded, and every starbucks I go to its usually packed and I hate it

Only problem is you get 2 drinks for the price of one at startbucks, so she'd think you just brought her cause your cheap :P But the real problem with a coffee date is that it feels really awkward if the conversation stops flowing. I prefer to go for a walk and then sit on a rock or something and talk. Silence isn't as awkward and you could end up cuddling
I totally agree! Plus if it's obvious things aren't going to work out it can be over quickly but if things go smoothly you could talk for hours or move to dinner elsewhere.
Except that a large popcorn at my local movie theater is only 3 bucks... So, a movie date, although not ideal since there's not much communicating, is still cheaper than starbucks.
ticket prices... Depending on your date after 6 tickets are 5 bucks, but before noon tickets are 2.50. Drinks for a large is 1.75. Which I believe is 32 oz.
and looking at the other 4 outside of my own local one... it looks like 2 of the 4 original theaters share the same price and the other two share the same price. and the new one is slightly higher than the 2 that changed. I'm not sure about their food prices but since ticket prices aren't solely chosen by the theater but the foods are, I would be willing to bet that the food prices are identical since the parent company is the same.
For my local and one other the tickets are $2.50 before noon, $4 afternoon, and $5 evening (after 5:59) 2 is $4 before 6 and $5.50 after 6 with a Monday special of $8 after 6 if you buy two tickets
and for the new theater $4 before 5:30 and $6 after 5:30.

Mine are only like that during the busiest parts of the day.

I like your idea! I think going for coffee is a good idea. Starbcuks might be crowded but there's lots of places that serve coffee.
In UK, you could chose Cafe Nero, or Costa. Lots of them about and pretty much the same sort of venue.
There are also lots of smaller, more intimate tea rooms that are less likely to be full of screaming kids.
Wait... Costa is British I thought it's American lol
I hate starbucks. Their brewed coffee is burnt and their blended drinks are so sugary as to be disgusting.

So basically you're a basic white girl 😂
Jk... I don't do Starbucks and I wouldn't call it "cheap", at least by coffee standards
It's cheap for date standards, restaurant and movies would be much more expensive
Yeah, that's why I specifically said coffee 😂. I also don't do Starbucks. I WILL NOT CONFORM!!!
CONFORMMMMMMMMM
NEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVEEEEEERRRRRR!!! 😈😈😈😈😈

And guess how much it is at my local movie theater? $7. Oh, and you're forgetting the ticket prices and the drinks too.

Wtf what movie theater is that cheap?
@snowangle There are 5 of them in the southwest region of my state. There were 4 but recently they expanded to one more city.

Nah, my first date with my now boyfriend was for sushi, I prefer that.
.
just for future reference
haha jk, like i'll ever get a date.
*Then those who don't have that in their country should just not go on dates? Hahaha
I fucking hate coffee and Starbucks lol
Let's meet at an ice cream place instead
I've never met a woman who approved of an obviously cheap date.
Nothing wrong with a coffee date, but there are plenty of coffee shops besides Starbucks!
That's hilarious. That was actually my first date with my guy over a year ago haha.
