How do you distinguish between hitting a snag in your relationship and falling out of love?

I've been with my boyfriend for about nine months now, and it seems that my feelings have sort of faded. His flaws are more apparent now, and they're starting to have a bigger impact on our interactions. We have fun together and he's incredibly sweet, but lately I'm not feeling the same spark. I've never been in a relationship that's lasted this long, so I don't really know if it's normal. Is this feeling typical after eight months, or has the relationship run its course?

  • It sounds like you've exited the honeymoon phase and entered the relationship phase. If you feel you always need that, "gotta have 'em" spark all the time, then relationships are not for you.
