When a guy calls you baby?

What does it usually mean when a guy calls a girl "baby"? I know some guys use the word lightly and it means nothing but, in my case I'm not so sure. There's this guy who used to like me a lot but I'm not sure if he still does. We used to talk pretty often but, now we only talk every now and then when we just so happen to see each other. One day a few weeks ago, after our conversation ended he said "Have a good day baby" and more recently when I saw him about a week ago he said "Good Morning baby". Do you think he meant anything by it?

It means you're really cute. It means you're so cute and pretty that he can't possibly find the right words to show you how much he wants to squeeze you and never let go.

Depends on how he says it.  If he says it like its nothing then he probably thinks he's a player with some game which he likely lacks in gratuitous amouns if that's how he's trying to game.  If he says it softly or in a fun non cocky way he probably likes you.  Also look for eye contact next time he tells you.  If he doesn't make eye contact he probably just thinks he knows how to get girls, if he looks you in the eyes with a soft or deep look he probably likes you.  The third scenario consists of him mentally role playing with you and he is secretly a pedophile LOL jk had to say that. XD

Depends if y'all just met and he's calling you baby it means nothing just that he wants to get it in but if y'all are creating a relationship and are getting serious when he says baby he says it as a means that you are his pretty simple really

If someone is important to me, and I care about them, I pretty much always give them some kind of a nickname. People I don't have a close connection with get called their real name.

So, to take that concept further, someone I *really* care about (i. e., someone I'm dating) is going to get a special name that I don't use with anyone else, and often that is "baby" or "babe." It's my term of endearment - it indicates that they're special to me.

I can't speak for others - other people may have different reasons - but that's mine.

Well to me it is just a phrase some guys use when they like the lady back and he knows you so he no doubt thought it was okay to say that to you, but to add more to this and it is a bit maybe off track.. but I joined this great site to give all of my honest opinions and here is my take for me.. if some lady was to walk past me and say hi baby.. it to me has two possible outcomes as to what I may think of it, one is that she knows I wear adult diapers and rubber pants daily.

Or she just likes me a lot.. both outcomes are sweet to me as I do not hide who I am or what I wear... it was just a bad hand I was dealt so I play it the best way I can.. and I can still do most all I could do before that fall took place including still going on dates with the ladies when I choose to.. wearing these garments has never ever been an issue and that makes me smile a lot.. take care now

From experience that sounds like a horny guy, if he buys you flowers, drops by just to say hi, calls you or texts you first thing in the morning, and helps you with moving and carrying stuff and brings you out to dinner (rather than calling you over to his place), then he's into you.

Guys can be very good at getting laid by saying all the right things I mean, guys even discuss how to get girls in bed, it can be pretty heinous but they don't feel any remorse.

When I'm talking to a girl I like, that I've been talking to for awhile I tend to call her "baby girl" I believe that adding the girl after baby makes it more playful and lowers the chance of her saying the "I'm not your baby" lol
