True.I know the law here used to be anyway, that between the ages of 10-15 you could have sex with someone who was within 2 years of your age. So, it could be illegal for them in that while they're both under the legal limit of 18 (assuming it's 18 there), and they're both minors.. he is still outside that age range. That isn't the case everywhere, it's not here anymore I don't think, but I'd definitely check up on the laws.
But if he is over the age of consent, and is technically an adult, it could/would be considered statutory rape. So if that age is 18, then once he turns 18, things become very difficult for him.
@bbch25 It doesn't matter what the law is where you are, it's almost certainly different where they are. ANYONE (adult or older teenager) in a relationship with a younger teenager needs to know the law where they are before one person's things go inside another person's things.
I was also giving a different perspective because many people aren't away of what could possibly be a law, so I said what a law is here, to make them realise "oh it could be similar here, should look it up".
There areThe fifty states and the no two are the same. For example, in Illinois it is illegal for two sixteen year-olds to have sex with each other. Everyone else who commented on the legality or illegality beyond "it depends" is simply wrong.
@slatyb well I'm pretty sure I said check the state law where you live. ✌
