Why am I still in disbelief that she did agree to meet up?

Anonymous

I was talking to this girl for a few months, and I tried to meet up two or three times, and each time she would say that we should, but was "busy"

For some reason I never stopped and I decided to just slip in that we should meet up over winter break, to which she said, "We can always give it a shot!" Which I interpreted as a "Yes" of sorts

So, I guess I'm asking a few things

1) What is the probable meaning to this?
2) Am I mostly safe now, for us to meet up?
3) How did she interpret what I mentioned based off her answer?
4) Why would I still be mildly in shock?

And a 5th bonus
How can I calm my nerves for when we actually do this? I almost freeze up just in her presence.
Why am I still in disbelief that she did agree to meet up?
