Are features and characteristics typically associated with geekdom (such as being a sci-fi fan, having collections, overly-enjoying games, etc.) and/or nerdiness (such as wearing glasses, using eloquent vocabulary in conversation, or knowing a great deal of random "interesting facts") more socially acceptable or at least less detrimental, with the newfound mainstream popularity of traditionally geeky or nerdy things?
