From a relationship coaching lens, there is a distinct difference between loving someone and being 'in love'.
Being 'in love' is a feeling and loving someone and being loved in return is feelings plus actions and experiences over time.
In this, making love to someone is akin to loving someone and being loved in return which is stronger than being 'in love'. There's a song that really drives this point home called 'Something That We Do'.0
