... so why did you date the second one? 😶
@redeyemindtricks Hoenstly? I ask myself that too but I actually know the answer - I was brought up without a father and most women around me have weird relationships with their husbands or no relationship at all. I didn't have an ideal and we've been all told that characters played by Ryan Gosling are unrealistic, so we shouldn't bother to aspire that high :D Also, this guy was my first boyfriend ever I had no comparison and I was happy that anyone paid any attention to me at all. I was jealous of my friends' being in relationships and I was justifying and rationalising many things he did...
ps. also, I'd been told that looks don't matter and it's what's inside that matters so I constantly hoped that through my being nice to him, his 'inside" would change ;)
Ahh first boyfriend, got it. A "learning experience" mahah. Not to rain on anyone's parade, but, I've always been creeped right the fuck out by Ryan Gosling's face. He looks like he's... in a permanent state of "about to throw a whiny temper tantrum", is the best way I can summarize it. Like a visual equivalent of nails on a chalkboard, seriously.__"I'd always been told that..."^^ See, this was one of the benefits of being a teenage girl whose **lifeblood** was saying Fuck You to all the "should"s, and all the "supposed to"s. <3
@redeyemindtricks yeah.. I guess I should ave started with that "he was my first boyfriend" thing lol xD Oh, cool, cool, I prefer most rockstart over Gosling, but he's like a generally acclaimed point of reference, so to day, and that why I used him as an example ;))May I ask - what do you mean by the lifeblood comment? It's fine, I just don't understnad, but would want to <3
rockstars* say* sorry for the mistakes >.<
uhh can u lady's chat somewhere else
ahha y'know. Rebel without a cause. The kind of girl for whom "you can't have that" made me want stuff more, and "you SHOULDN'T want that" made me want it most of all.Now that I have children of my own, I do have more perspective on why SOME of the "should"s are "should"s -- although I still *burn* with anger about how young women's sexuality is systematically suppressed and drowned in guilt and shame. And more importantly, it's become more and more clear with every passing year that women who follow all these "rules" just get... boys who underappreciate them, and *expect* everything of them while *giving* relatively little in exchange.Like I wrote here (woman's mho)www.girlsaskguys.com/.../a35117-why-a-girl-sleeping-around-shouldn-t-matter
@scorpioDude - nope... sorry but we're finishing anyway :) Calm down, boy!@redeyemindtricks - oh yeah, it's true - my friend says the same. The minute she started to care for dating a guy she was really into rather than a weird ideal proposed by her mum and aunts, she got muuuch happier <3 Checking out the link and see you there <3
Stfu I won't calm down! STOP YOUR CONVERSATION NOW
I see... you're the kind of "hands on" guy whom I'd never date... nervous you have little money and no decent girl can have you :) ps. you're welcome ;)
Boy calm yourself.Ladies continue XD
yes you are right
boy? tf? who u calling boy
So bald men are ugly?
wait seriously? by the way thats me. Im just waiting for the rest of my crew to show up.
Wow, those women were stupid.I also agree, that mature women are cooler. They are at least not so judging :)
@Unit1 Yep, some younger girls just don't see the big picture yet either, they think a guy on welfare, but surfs everyday is super cool and would make a great husband and father, LOL!
"they think a guy on welfare, but surfs everyday is super cool and would make a great husband and father"I have never seen any instance on this.
@Unit1 The ones that turn down a working man, they prefer the guys that fuck around and party and whatnot, that is what I am saying. I have also been turned down because I worked for living and other guys were more "fun" because they had more time to party. If you never encountered women like this, good for you.
Worse for me, there are gold diggers and women, who feel entitled to be spoiled because vagina. But I haven't tried dating, so I wouldn't draw that conclusion so fast but I can imagine dating being like this.
@Unit1 Ok, just wait until you find a nice girl, then she wants nothing to do with you because you are a virgin! It's brutal out there man! Be safe!
As if 🙄I am only concerned about gold diggers and those, who take advantage of guys by getting free meals.
"I can't even begin to count the number of times I met a girl at the bar, started a nice conversation and it would start to develop. Once I mentioned I was going through to be a diesel mechanic, SCREECH!!! They would lose all interest and walk away!"^^What kind of bars were these? How were these women dressed? Were there any other obvious indicators of a totally white-collar background?I mean... if these were, like, dive bars in Sonoma County, then, dude I got nothin', you should've cleaned up.But, if these were the kinds of places where drinks are served in "flights" instead of rounds... well, yeah. Culture clash is a thing.Like... I would absolutely reject boys just as fast, but for the OPPOSITE reason.Banker? Buh-bye.Corporate lawyer? See ya.Can't drive a stick shift? Uh srsly why the fuck are you even TALKING to me. 😂 [not actually kidding]A lot of women just realize they don't have much, if anything, in common with a blue-collar boy. In the same way I wouldn't have
a damn thing in common with a white-collar boy.If those women are looking for a long-term prospect? Honestly it's better for the both of ya.I'll tell ya, this sure wouldn't have put a woman off of wanting to *fuck* you... cultural differences or no. 😍
@redeyemindtricks This was a college in Saute Ste Marie Ontario, back in 1994, 1995. They where college age girls, mostly white, mostly middle class type of families I suppose. Very trendy bars at the time, no scum, everyone dressed up, typical bar clothing. The Soo was a steel mill city, so lots of blue collar jobs there. During those times, guys who were taking forestry or aviation cleaned up, but not the diesel mechanics. I mean, I am not into lying to score a girl. It was a hard lesson, but today, I have no real regrets because never did like that whole bar scene, one night stand sort of thing anyway.

okay so when can I ask you out
A skilled tradesman usually makes more than most white collar workers
@pinkesweet but they dont have all the benefits, that come with a white collar job.and due to that and lifestyle, etc, it turns out that white collar workers usually end up saving more than their counterparts. usually, but there are exeptions of course,,,it also depends on what trade
But if they are the dumb loud drunk type... No thanks. That includes men of any profession.
They want you to trim their lawn! 😉 Lol 😂
@Poppykate As I always say, the bush trimming is extra ;)
Just kidding, I'm not perve I'm actually a really sweet guy :)
As someone in finance, I am inclined to disagree
true but me no.
what the hell lol office jobs make way more u kidding haah
stfu I are a dumb ass
no i was just saying there are people in office jobs like finance people many who make millions and even billions which is ridiculous lol hand ons jobs you dont make that much
Haha exactly what I was going to say
3.bp.blogspot.com/.../...-mad-Matt-LeBlanc-GIF.gifHey, suits are AWESOME!
Glad to hear you say that lol. I hate havingbto wear suits. They look way too sharp.
@Lopezz1999 @bcranger well, now. Suits worn -- with panache -- by a boy who never HAS to wear a suit? Now that's 😍😍... I mean, mb I'm just a weirdoface, but, if a boy is wearing a suit **for work** then that just does less than nothing for me.In fact, even if it's not for work -- the whole traditional thing head to toe? Still don't love.I like it best when a boy can rock a suit with some sort of unusual twist. Mb with a shirt instead of a dress shirt... mb with sneakers... mb suit+tie+dress shoes but with the sleeves cut off (ahhhh how well my man does THAT one)... but, yh some kind of "signature" of the boy's own.
@BCRanger10 Lol Ahhh, I love Friends gifs! Suits are nice, but there's just something about a guy who works with his hands that I love. My boyfriend has a hands-on job and gets fairly dirty at work, and I love when he comes home like that, I can't explain it. haha! And what @redeyemindtricks said. :)
@redeyemindtricks I actually prefer to dress up nicely almost everywhere I go with collar shirts, khakis and whatnot to keep my formal, yet casual appearance. There's really no need to wear a suit and tie for work.. I mean you're going to be doing the same thing every day. You don't need to look classy lol.
Most of them make jack shit. Obviously if the start their own business and get lucky, they can make a decent amount.. But so can any business owner. However if they're just working under someone, the pay is crap for the most part. It's manual labor after all...
@Kkaos I would not call a skilled tradesman who has to pass a four-year apprenticeship as just a manual labourer. Here in Australia, most tradesmen make more than white-collar professionals.Even low-skilled people can do well. For example, I once did an investment plan for a steel fixer who made about $100,000 a year. That was nearly 20 years ago.All that a steel fixer does is wire one piece to reinforcing steel to another, before the concrete is poured. It is a shit job that few people want to do, so construction companies pay a premium for it.
I'm from Australia as well, I'd say mining is another good example. I don't know about 'most', it probably depends on the area. I'm sure your average carpenter isn't going to be making anything substantial unless they start they're own business and do well. Trades are easy to get into, you don't have to be particularly educated or wealthy, so at the lower end I'd say there's a lot of trades guys on poor salaries, but those who have the know how and intellect can take their trades knowledge and make their own business out of it, while plenty will stay working for larger contractors and make relatively nothing.
I want you
Lol Straight to the point
To be honest if I had to choose between suits and worker clothes, I'd choose the worker clothes :DThat's how I dislike wearing suits.
I prefer to work in a gorilla costume
What would you say that is?
They are men and not boys. Shows they see not afraid to get their hands dirty, very masculine I guess.
nahh just some of us rather work with are hands or with tools.. then in a office with a pen and paper.
lol. I can see it now. He walks in the door expecting a kiss, na huh take a shower first! :P
Exactly how it goes!
Depends what you consider 'decent', most blue collar jobs are far below white collar as far as salary is concerned.
Best way to a girls heart is to fix it :)
