Were you born in ukraine?
Yes, I was 4 1/2 before we moved here.
oohhh cool. do you remember the language much?було б здорово, якби ви зробили лол
I can speak Ukrainian and Russian fluently, just not really write or read.
really? is it cuz you moved at such a young age before you could get the chance to learn to read?
Yeah, once we got here, I started learning how to write and read in English instead
oohhh i see, well that's still cool that you can speak ukrainian. where did you grow up?
Yeah :) I was born in Ternopil, on a farm. Then we eventually moved to Seattle WA, once we got to the states, where I was raised and still live in to this day. Wbu?
well i actually was born in ukraine too. i was born and raised in kiev till i turned 17 because my family wanted better education. i now live in Winnipeg, MB (manitoba), Canada with my family
Oh wow, so it must've been some getting use to to the new culture, huh?
yah it was. and because Canada speaks English and french, it was kinda difficult because there's many different cultures in Canada that you never know if somebody came from a different country unless they say so. it took awhile to get used to writing, speaking, and reading English for the first year
what if she's not a US citizen?
I'd only be setting myself up for heartbreak if I got involved with someone who might end up living in a different country.
Thought she was russian
Maybe your right
ukrainians obviously don't speak german. we speak ukrainian. we also use cyrillic alphabet, instead of the latin alphabet
I know that. I'm saying she would have to learn one of those languages. Because there would be a language barrier and we couldn't communicate.
well she would most likely know English probably way more than german
Tell her to hmu then!! jp haha
lol... im actually referring to myself haha. i was born in ukraine, but moved to Canada when i was 17 because of educational reasons since education in ukraine, its not as good as canada's lol. been here for 4 years, and i like it :P
That's awesome. Honestly for me that would be kinda cool to date a girl from Eastern Europe. I wouldn't worry about it.
Huh? I don't live in Europe anymore as of 2013? What are you talking about?
Don't ever say that again by calling us Russians. Very disrespectful!
there's no need to upset, malorossiya
shut up. just cuz your dumbass country hates ukraine and russia, it don't mean you need to be a bitch about it. like frick!
I don't hate Russia or Ukraine. Russia is the motherland for all Slavs.
so? ukrainians aren't the same as russians. thats similar to me saying "all British people are the same as australian people". no they're not, but hey, if the shoe fits, then wear it
Australia was a British colony, so most of them are. Slavs need to unite with Russia, the motherland of all Slavs.
I don't know. I'm Ukrainian and was told Ukrainian girls are unattractive by some guy I know
Well, he's a jerk (sorry) ! You should be more confident and proud about who you are !
I agree with fural with what he said is exactly right
@devildamo @fural i know, i honestly don't care what he says cuz i like being ukrainian, honestly lol
so what if you talk different everyone is beautiful in there own way in my opinion 😘😊
@devildamo true. but honestly, its pretty fun being ukrainian even though many people think its bad haha
I agree with you 100 there is you are who you are and people can't change that hun well I like you ukrainian people so
And could she afford or even be willing to come to the USA? Because I won't live anywhere else.
no -.- ukrainians are far from being relatively close to russians. just cuz we use the same alphabet, doesn't mean we speak the same language and are the same people. plus, there's conflict between us and russia, don't say that ever again
Aren't you Slavic though?Conflict between two countries has nothing to do with their ethnicity.
yes ukraines are slavic. but do you even have a clue on the conflict between ukraine and russia? because its not a "brush it off" thing
I know, but it doesn't change someone's ethnicity. That would be like if the USA and Ireland somehow were in conflict. That wouldn't change the fact that most White Americans are still Irish.
uhm, i don't get what you're saying. i was born in ukraine, but then moved to Canada when i was 17 for better educational purposes which was 4 years ago. I'm not a Canadian because i live here now. I'm 100% ukrainian because thats where my ancestors started. even though i don't live in my own country anymore, i still get offended when people say "aren't you guys basically russians?" because thats like me saying "aren't americans basically canadians?". it makes no sense, and its not supposed to
What if she's not a usa citizen?
I'll have to say no... not into long long long potential distance relationship
ok, then what if she was either a ukrainian citizen or a citizen of a different country, but then moved to USA? then would you? by other country this is what i mean...ukrainian background, but born in Canada then moved to USA (this is an example)
