Is lunch or dinner dating "too intimate" for Millennial tastes?

orphanedmind
I just read a story that Millennials are much less likely to go out on a lunch or dinner date than previous generations. The article said that many millennials feel "trapped" or "antsy" to sit with a stranger for 90 to 120 minutes. It said several millennials complained of "too much intimacy".

Is it true that Millennials really hate a long date where they have to focus on someone sitting close directly across the table? As an older person, not doing this seems to miss the point of the date!
