They're both thots.
Side pieces need the extra validation and in their minds, another woman's sloppy seconds is a big score.
In the case of married men they're to weak to either value their vows or walk away from an unfulfilling relationship.0

A friend did a test on women. He was new to the area; and tended bar (planned acts, etc). He was single at the time, and had been for a while. He went out, bought a wedding ring. Sometimes he’d wear it, and sometimes he wouldn’t, just to see if there was a reaction.
Sure enough, women were constantly hitting on him when he wore his ring. We think that a part of it was that he was “safe.” We also thought some of those women thought he was hotter because he already had a woman at home (competition), but we both wanted to believe that that reasoning, if true, was pretty rare. Of course, he was the guy supplying the drinks and entertaining them, so it could have just been flirting to try to pay less or get free drinks, and the ring wasn’t an issue... but anecdotally it seemed very odd how the ring seemed to be the thing that got women interested.
