Yeah, LA isn't a great place if you don't drive.
Dang, you're lucky.
but that doesn't solve the problem of going to fun events or meeting friends that aren't in the city...eventually it will happen
@TripleAce Public transportation and walking has always been enough for me. I live in Finland, the distances aren't that big.
Finland is a great place to live lol...sweeden Norway Finland... great spots lucky bum
Sweeden use to be a great place before the no go zones popped up all over the place.
Stop talking shit you retard, what kind of moron are you that you believe that tripe, grow up and find a brain please.. stop spreading racist conspiracy bulls--t!
Sorry that was aimed at the guy talking about "no go zones" but looks like his dumbass has left the platform already, thanks.. sry..

I had a bit of an unusual experience compared to most growing up. Due to my family since (I’m youngest of 5) and the size and cost of cars here, I travelled in the boot until my older brothers moved out. I didn’t 100% travel in the back seat until I was 7. My mum was a shite driver so I had a few accidents where I was hurt and the indestructible bitch that is my mother was unscathed during later yearsAnd then I learnt to drive myself.
Wow that's an incredible story. That's horrible you had to go through that. You called it a boot so I assume you live in England or around there? I can't believe you did that though. Here were I live people would get their kids taken for some like that and they don't take the kids to a better place for the most part. Side Note: I've learned that many children who get taken by Child protection service end up being sold into sex slavery, and yes, I live in the US. It's a disgusting problem here.
Lol as far as I know it was legal in the 90s. I had a child seat and when too big I had cushions and a blanket. When pushed my youngest brother had to travel with me in the boot (yes English).
Hahaha I can just picture you and your brother traveling inside a small car trunk. When I was young, I'd hide under a blanket on the floor in the back seat to sneak into the drive in movie theater near my home to save some money haha.
Pfft lol. When testing a new car I was shut in a car boot. My parents and family drove off without me while I tried to escape. It’s all okay. My dad counted up the kids in the car and realised I wasn’t there
Hahaha niiice. That's classic.
Right on, but what did you mean when you wrote 'I wasn't interested in it'? Typo? I just want it to be clear :)
Like I just wasn’t feeling it with him. There were other reasons why I didn’t pursue a relationship with him other than that he didn’t have a car. Does that makes since?
Oh yes, absolutely. Thank you
Oh yeah, very good point. Not having a job would be a deal breaker for most people. Thanks!
So you could fall in love with someone who doesn't drive in the first place? Like you met him and he couldn't or didn't drive when you first met, it would not stop you from falling in love with him? That's interesting, thank you :)
of course not, that's just one small thing. If i loved everything else about him then that wouldn't make the slightest difference :)
What if he chooses not too or can't for long periods of time?
Why he cant?
Maybe medical reasons or he got in trouble for drinking and driving or he just doesn't want to drive.
I don't see a problem if there is a reason
Right on, thank you for sharing :)
You are lying.
@RedJacket okkk if you say so
Red, stop being a dick for no reason. It's making you look shallow and ignorant.
Completely understandable. Being self sufficient is extremely important if you want a stable relationship. Thanks for sharing :)
Yes very important
Definitely, anything that might make a relationship more difficult then they normally are wouldn't be a good thing.
How would you guys get around?
Buses and trams I guess.I do plan on getting my drivers licence some day, but it's too expensive for now.
Right on, good luck!
I'm sure, I'd not want to be a burden on someone, especially if we're in a relationship of some kind.
Same, I hate feeling like a burden. But as long as they also got themselves around and didn't rely on me to drive them everywhere, I wouldn't mind. Like, if I have a job and other commitments or whatever, but have to constantly worry or be prepared to also drive him places, then it isn't fun. For example, my stepdad often gets me to drive him places (even though he drives¿) and so I feel like I need to be ready at all times and it's just annoying hahah. But if I liked the boy a lot, I don't think it'd matter that much to me.
I see, that's a good point. And that is terrible about your stepdad. Pretty dick move if you ask me. Maybe he's trying to avoid a DUI? Haha
It's honestly just annoying lol because I get prepared and put other stuff I'm doing off and then last minute he's goes "oh I'm being picked up now." like wow thanks. He probably is tbh hahah
I feel for you :(
Make sense. So you would start a relationship with someone who is disabled and could not drive?
Well depends. If I can take care of them like they need to be taken care of then yes
That's pretty cool. I respect that for sure.
You're cool with waking everywhere? Interesting. What if they live outside walking distance?
That's what bikes are for!
Hahaha what about a distance of over 25 miles... one way? Someone call Uber, please!
Okay that's very true, haha! Didn't even think of that! 🙄
No worries, that's what I'm here for :^)
I feel you brother, I wouldn't want to be a burden on someone I care about but then again, someone awesome could come by during that time and you could miss out on something amazing. It looks like they actually don't care very much at all so I'd say go out and meet girls like normal. Although, these ladies could just be being nice. Ya never know, I guess.
Yeah same here. It really is impossible to get around without a car.
We have bus but only poor people/ or middle schoolers use it
Yes, he should.
Bummer, does it piss you off at all?
No where I'm from its not that of a big deal
Europe somewhere? I know the public transportation is way better than the US'
Nah I'm in the Caribbean but transportation here is bad but there is always taxi service, regular taxis or the public bus which is so slow and drives off schedule
No way, that's cool. I have a cruise to the Caribbean that I won from a radio contest haha. I was wondering what it's like there if you don't live there and need public transportation.
Well I'm from Jamaica you do need transportation but if you don't have your own vehicle there is always an alternative.
Yeah, having motivation to improve yourself is very important. Good point!
I mean, I can’t drive him around forever, especially where I live in the US.
That wasn't the question, or were you confused by the advanced language in said question?
Yes, l'anglais complicated for me I use translate google apple pie answers
I knew it.
Я могу понять тебя синий
You're Russian has no power over me! Away with you and your Goggle transvestite.
Я не говорю російською мовоюukraineflag.facts.co/.../FlagofUkraine.jpg
I see, you're more pissed about me calling you Russian then a transvestite hahahaha.
Maybe he has a medical condition that won't allow him to or he got in trouble and can't or he can't afford to or he's between cars.
I personally don't God because I had diabetes and extreme low blood sugars rival black out and have several times while driving if I was to hit until somebody like that I don't think I could live with myself that's why I choose not to drive for other safety
Good for you, there are definitely people out there who are in the same boat like those who have seizures and whatnot.
Oh, I see. But I don't see not driving as a big deal. I learned to drive, myself later in life anyway.
That's awesome, I'm happy you got self sufficient in that sense. Thanks for sharing :)
