In dating and relationships, women only call men a "real man" when it benefits them right?

Like for example, "A real man will approach me and ask me out." Benefit, "I don't have to put myself out there. I don't have to overcome social awkwardness , put my confidence on the line, or risk initial rejection." or... "A real man always asks out and always pays for the date." Benefit "I never have to be responsible for initiating anything and even if the date doesn't go well, hey at least I'm not out of any money."

  • Pretty much. I've never heard a woman use the term "real man" when it has nothing to do with them, or women in general. That's how you know they don't know what the hell they are talking about.

No, this does not mean all women.

  • Pretty much, but every time I see someone post "I'm looking for a real man" I can't help but wonder, have they been dating cardboard cutouts up until now?
