Was date’s reference to Mexican women inappropriate?

I’m Latina and met a guy for coffee. He’s white and was married to a Mexican woman. In any case, he asked my ethnic background and then said Mexican women are conservative and then asked if I said I was half Mexican, which I am not. Found the comment interesting. My friend who is not Hispanic said it was not cool. Thoughts?

  • It is not appropriate in my opinion, but I'm not Latina.

  • I don't think it is inappropriate as much as it is incorrect.

Mexican girls (in the US) tend to be real sluts.

    • Guess he has not met those women. 😱

  • His comment wasn’t inappropriate, it’s the fact that you told him your background and he still asked. Like wtf did you not listen the first place motherfucker?

    • Ha! Did not think of that. Think he associated me with his ex. 😳

    • Yes. One last question-after his Mexican women comment I may have said something to the affect that South Americans are a little snobby and we are different than Mexicans etc. I think it came off wrong. Did it sound bad?

    • I don’t think he would have paid much attention to it to be honest. He’ll probably just let your actions speak for themselves. Especially if he remembers where you’re from then be prepared to be the representation of how all women from your country act lol.
