Is it true that we tend to judge ourselves harder than other people and pick out our flaws?

I don't know, whenever I take a video/picture/look in the mirror, I just see all my flaws. Nothing cute about me. But to other people, apparently I’m “gorgeous”/“beautiful. Is it true that your mind can pick up flaws and exaggerate them? For example, find my lips and face asymmetrical asf, but do people notice that? I also have dark eye circles, uneven brows, and some dark spots.

  • For most normal people, we probably do judge ourselves harsher than do others. For others, such as narcissistic people, they don't judge themselves, as they feel others are always at fault for any of their failings. That's whey Trump never apologizes, as all of his failures, are always someone else's fault. That's also why he goes through cabinet members so quickly.

  • No one else will notice. Even if I did I wouldn't care. I'm also far more critical of myself than others.

  • People will only notice that of they look hours at your face.
    So... they don't.
