Is “I’m Proud Of You” a Compliment?

Is saying “I’m proud of you” to a person of the opposite sex you are just beginning a relationship with a compliment? When do you consider it condescending?

  • It could be taken as condescending but probably wasn't intended that way. I think it would be meant like they are proud of how much you have achieved while they have known you.

  • It can depend for what he is being proud of you for. Is it for giving a good blow job or something else?
