The thing I've learned if people entirely and solely rely on being with somebody else in order to be happy or stay happy, they are gonna set themselves up for a lot of pain, miseries, hurt and disappointments. Because unexpected things can and will happen, and no relationship or whatever is guaranteed to be forever and remain for the entire duration of both partners' lifetime. So it's like so if that were to happen and they lose their partner for whatever reason, then there goes their happiness too, since they weren't truly "happy" at all to begin with.Ultimately I think NOBODY is truly "happy", this world consists of misery and suffering. So no matter what we're all miserable and suffering in some form or way, maybe more, maybe less when compared to others.EVEN FAMILY makes one miserable. Matter of fact, FAMILY IS SUPPOSE TO MAKE YOU MISERABLE. I've learned that from Bobby Singer in SuperNatural by the way.Just go have fun. Life is short. We only live once.
@JudgmentDay "If you're not happy single, you won't be happy taken. Happiness comes from within, not from a relationship." Why does the site not allow people to like replies to a reply? I'm not going to lie, when I was younger, in my 20s, I used to equate happiness with being in a relationship or having a partner. I used to hate the holidays SO much because I was alone and bitter. But that's because I wasn't happy with how my life was... so I changed it. I started focusing on myself, stop caring about others lives and relationship statuses. And guess what- I realized being single was NOT this horrible thing or punishment. No, I don't think there's such a thing as "true happiness" like that crap you see in fairy tales, movies, or people trying too hard on social media (lol). I think you just have to learn how to make your own bit of happiness in this world. Some people are just happier... or less miserable, than others.
I think we're all miserable one way or another because we're all on time limit in this world and that time is going to run out eventually and inevitably, at least for those of us that recognize the reality of this. Everything we've ever "gained" or "attained", everything tangible or otherwise, we lose it once our time is up. But that's why I say we only live once, so just make the most of it, simply because there's not gonna be any rewinding, going back to try and fix or change anything that we didn't like that had happened in our past or history. And since backward time travel don't exist, we can only go forward, so just keep going forward and move forward. You know what they say?LIVE FOR THE MOMENT.

Pillow girlfriends were invented for that 😉
"no spending money on gifts for them." Yea, the hell with consumerism and materialism.
@JudgmentDay exactly, more money for me
Save it for things you'll actually need instead. Like for sSchool, transportation costs, food, hygiene or cleaning supplies, to help pay the bills, rent, or mortgage, etc.
29 years im still waiting.
@red324 I got you beat. 36 years here and never been married and no kids.

I dont think he has problems with friends ;)
I'd love to have friends. No sincere offer refused.
"But it's like that old expression: to have a friend you need to be a friend. Maybe reach out, especially to others who are lonely and sad. Then you won't be, anymore."THERE WE GO! Blue Anon sure could use this advice. Matter of fact I think you deserve MHO for this response and advice.
Totally agree I feel the same
But life's short bro. Just enjoy it while it lasts and have fun. We only live once. No point in fretting and dwelling on it. It's not gonna be some miracle magical bullshit where you are no longer single. Even couples fight and have their own share of miseries too.
I will give you something to eat!!
