I always preferred "competence" as a word, since I find it even in athletes who didn't do well in academic subjects, e. g., since they have a sort of "motor intelligence". Likewise with those who are very good at getting along with a wide range of people with a kind of "social intelligence" or "competence".I do value certain types of "competence", especially social skills and maturity in the contexts that need it most (ex: being able to maturely handle disagreements). I don't find it all that important though if I can't engage in a conversation with a girl about, say, mathematical functions or famous literature or even history. They're not my favorite subjects to discuss outside of work. If I engage with a deep conversation with a girl, I prefer more personal subjects or maybe even small talk at times, like how her day is going or even sharing our deepest hopes and aspirations.

Generally, I might actually find fewer attractive people among the ones you might consider very stereotypically "smart", like a poker-faced antisocial mathematician with a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. But I don't consider them all that "smart" in a practical sense (it's not the areas in which they are competent which I found unattractive, but the areas they are not), and might find a more practical form of smarts even in someone with no higher education with lots of street smarts and the ability to relate to lots of people and a warm sense of humor.
So I'm very attracted to smart women, but not necessarily so much the stereotypical idea of "smart". I prefer higher EQ over IQ for a start if I can't have them both. And I like creative types over uber logical ones, and sociable ones with social skills over antisocial, and so on.
Yeah or at least someone e I can have in depth conversations with. Not necessarily intelligence but things that matter
I don’t care as long as their hot.
