Start by asking causal questions.Start with college or Work, Then ask about her career plans Slowly get into family matters and then finally ask her about her dreams and goalsBut be slow and be careful you don't want it to be an interview So instead of only asking questions. In between them Talk a little about something or add a few comments about her answer to your questionsCompliment her for choices. and keep it cool
Ask her out on a date in person that is the BEST way to get to know someone
I really like one on one's but I'm kinda shy at first and don't really take the initiative to start a conversation. When I do I don't really know what to talk about.
I highly recommend taking the suggestions of @Iron_Man advise, it's a lot better and he mentioned some great conversation starters have a high chance of starting a conversation. A great example would be start out by asking how her day is going and if she's doing anything fun. Then perhaps lead it in to a conversation about hobbies or something that interest you. :)
Thank you so much my friend

You don't. If you are meeting someplace soon, you can quiz what she likes or build up a surprise or something in texts. Play games in text, never be serious with texts and you will do good.
What are your life goals, what sports do you enjoy, what are your hobbies, what do you like to do on the weekends, what kind of clothes, do you like to shop for, who's your favorite WWE professional wrestler, so what do you think about Donald Trump and the job he's doing so far, who do you think will win the next 2020 election? Are you going to buy the new iPhone 11 coming out
Ask her about happy and sad moments of life
