  I've never been so I have no personal experience with France as an American tourist. I have dealt with people from many different nations here in the US - Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Australia, Philippines, Japan, China, South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, India, Pakistan, Egypt, South Africa, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Greece, Turkey, Italy, Spain, England, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Poland, Ukraine - but never met any French people in the US.

I voted E. I dated a French guy in college. We didn't last long (he preferred spending time with his Warhammer armies to going out with me), but we stayed friends and overall it was a good experience.
