I thought we we're all entitled to preferences?
Why is there a double standard in dating preferences as far as skin color and race is concerned?

I thought we we're all entitled to preferences?
To me it only matters if their preference is presented as racist.
Saying, "Milky white skin turns me on in this insane way. It's uncontrollable." That's not racist. Saying, "White boys are nasty, I would never touch one." That's very racist.
People who deal in absolutes are generally racist in my experience. Preferences are not usually absolute any more than food or general color preferences are. They are just something you would enjoy a bit more.
These rules apply no matter what color you are.
I'm not white. But I still think white people are prone to a lot of BS.., for Eg: if they say "I'm proud to be white" they'll be labelled as a racist but when someone says "I'm proud to be brown/black"... it's considered as being strong and destroying racism etc
I think all of these are just made up by the industries to sell their skin whitening products to dark people; and tanning products to white people. They just make us all believe that everything that we don't have is beautiful than what we have.
The idea that you wouldn't date a white person, simply cause there white
Is racism... at it's core

I agree but I'm just asking why is there always an uproar when it's light skin or non-black men and women are preferred?
