How do you feel good about yourselve without external validation?

I've had a rough time lately. Study and work has been tedious, dating life is falling apart, self doubt and thoughts of failure and uselessnes.
It's hard to live with yourselve. I often need outside validation for if what I do is right or if I have still worth.
But at the moment I am all alone and left with myself to deal with. How?
How do you feel good about yourselve without external validation?
