Congrats making that work - I always have been a little afraid of giving it a serious try with women who are a lot (>10y) younger as these relationships tend to break-up so often. Any secret how the two of you manage? Or maybe it is the fact that you knew each other for years before becoming a couple so that move would have been well-considered?
@connythebaker I don't know the key to my successful relationship... when I initially met my SO she was engaged to another and then married for 5 or 6 years or so, during which we lost touch with each other but once she was separated/divorced (plus she was over 30yrs old) she looked me back up then we started seeing each other occasionally (friends with benefits) about a year eventually we became exclusive! But I guess they key to this relationship is the ability to totally accept each other without the need nor desire to change each whatever changes we make are natural and unprovoked.. Remember we were attracted to our SO, for who or what they are (total acceptance is the absolute key to a successful relationship)
Thank you for your reply. Maybe a 50-some to 30-some age gap is not as radical as, say 40 to 20.
