It's really not, but I watch shit like that knowing it would never happen because all I can do is live vicariously through shows like that, I gave up in my life because I am tired of rejection and that's all I've ever gotten.

Some, sure. Honestly most of them would probably feel shallow in real life rather than appear perfect. People also tend to not wear their hearts on their sleeve and so these over the top gestures and emotions wouldn't resonate with that many people.
