I think I’ve solved a huge problem in the world. I think block buttons should be subject to review. We have created a society where people are so totally unwilling to cope with the idea that someone might have a different idea from our own idea, that anything that feels like dissent is block-worthy.
I block if a person becomes rude for no reason. You can get your point across without getting snappy. And well a lot can't. So if i ask you to stop pestering me and you continue to call me names, then “block”
That’s why I think the review part is important. If the person is being abusive, then blocking is the right thing to do. But a lot of people use blocking as a way to thought police, and that can get scary... as we have seen

I’m actually not the offended person here. I off-handedly said “all that me too nonsense” in a conversation about how inappropriate a lot of men behave towards women. I will be the first to admit that my phrasing was bad. Nonsense is a word that I tend to throw around as a casual term. I use the word “nonsense” the same way I would say “stuff.” Anyhow, the overall vibe of the conversation was respecting women. I was just surprised when this woman had a super visceral angry reaction and immediately blocked me.
People today are extremely angry. Identity politics vilifies men, whites, straights... and encourages hatred towards them as a normal matter of course. They encourage people to think that they are victims and to attack anyone who dares to disagree with their assertions. These Woke SJWs are not reasonable people whom you could have a debate with. They are emotional time bombs looking for someone to lash out at for their perceived injustice.I am glad when one reveals themselves and blocks me because they are so far gone you aren't missing out on any kind of friendship or even interesting discussion by their self imposed isolation.
Facts... I’m not gonna lose any sleep over it, that’s for sure. I would just prefer to avoid having someone blow up on me in the first place. I avoid conflict where possible
