Why is it okay for women to state their preferences, but not okay for men?

militaryhistorian
Women walk around and can say "a guy has to be educated, tall, have a job, have money, etc". Yet when a guy say he doesn't want kids, single mothers jump all over him. When he say he want skinny girl, women say he's shallow. You will rarely hear a guy say he wants a girl that has a degree because women without degrees will insult him and accuse him of thinking he's better.

Why is it okay for women to state their preference, but men get bashed for doing the same? Women can say out loud that they like tall men or won't date short men, but it's considered taboo for a man to say he doesn't date fat women or only go for skinny women.
