Do you consider being single for the rest of your life?

I have a very long term gurlfriend, and she’s great. However, I’d be lying if I didn’t ever think of being perpetually single, just because that’s part of a more overall idea I have where I’ve come to realize that none of my problems I encounter in my life are because my own doing. Like I’m never like “damn, I should’ve made a better choice, and as a result, I have to suffer through ‘Problem-X’...”, it’s “Everything would be fine and going how I want it to, except I choose to allow other people into my life, and I end up having to make all kinds of inconvenient concessions as a result, for purpose of respect, concern, or just not wanting to deal with the I'd get if I tried to oppose it or just do what I wanted.” Like basically, I hate, hate, HATE having to alter anything about my behavior or life activities because of a girlfriend, a friend, a family member, an employer, any kind of neighbor or semi-friendly acquaintance. It’s very important to me to be doing whatever the fuck I want to be doing at pretty much all times, and it frustrates me that choosing to have any sort of interpersonal relationship hinders that.

I mean i wanna be a mom so id hope id have someone to raise a child with.. but if my relationship failed and i still couldn't find that person id feel devastated because it will be sad to die alone but i pray i have that person.

I think it is a possibility so I try to be okay with it. Being single got it advantages so it is not all bad I guess.

I could be struck dead by lightning, meteorites, cars, heart attack, my own stupidity, other people's stupidity, etc. at any given time and place, without warning or regards for any carefully laid out plans I might be foolish enough too be making regarding the rest of my life.
Therefore, whatever I am now, and could ever become, is what I consider being for the rest of my life.

Yes. I want to be single for the rest of my life. Relationships are a distraction. I don't want to rely on another person to be happy. There is too much drama when one is committed. To me it doesn't make sense and is not worth it. I don't want to have kids either.
