I have been privileged to have known several 'drop-dead' stunning, intelligent black women whom I could have easily fallen for, but 'why'... consciously ELECT to place even greater life's hurdles,

Not sure. I know that black woman - white male marriages have one of the lowest divorce rates. Whether that says white men take black women seriously, or it’s that they don’t take them seriously so only the most committed make it to marriage I couldn’t say.

my guess is that such relationships are either just sex or can be quite serious.

my sense is that there are some barriers to such relationships forming both in terms of expectations around early dating on top of anything else, but when they happen... probably get killed for saying it but my sense is that both black women and white men go into relationships with a pretty high expectation of what they expect to GIVE. And both can be pretty happy with how the other treats them.

The answer to “Do white men...” is always yes, some do. No idea about any particular man. Some white men would give a woman the same respect regardless of her race. If I were dating a black woman I would be there because I wanted to be there, and would not treat her any differently than any other woman I have dated. If you are in a relationship with a white man, has he said or done something that motivated this question?

You know "white men" don't hold meetings to decide who will marry whom.
It's usually a preference made on individual level rather than herd level.

Each individual is different , has different tastes and preferences and you can't club them and ask "dO wHiTE mEn mArrY bLaCk wAhmAN"

No, I like black women, I like white women, I'm color blind when it comes to skin color. It doesn't matter to me what skin color you have. I will be just as serious with a black woman as with a white woman, no different treatment.
