Girls, Has a guy ever "spoiled you"?

Wow, a lot of no's here so far.
My answer is yes. My husband is not the romantic type, but he does occasionally surprise me with a lavish gift, or some flowers when I am really sad. It's not often, but it's enough to feel special and I appreciate the thought.
I had one boyfriend who was very chivalrous and generous and really put effort and energy into doing things for me (as he has done for all his women), but it did wear him out and one day he flipped out and turned bitter, as he was tired and stressed out and financially tapped, none of which I knew. We stopped walking, stopped shopping, put away the umbrella, he had a smoke, and we spent the next while in a sports bar where he got to watch sports and drink beer. Then he felt better. So it was a lesson to me that even if some guys keep offering and doing things, they may be going beyond their limit, so it's best to say no to them, whatever they're offering. Everyone has their limits, and things that restore them mentally, so we should be cognizant of that and sometimes do what's best for them, even if they deny it's what they need.

When I was 18 I was talking/dating this guy and he bought me a cuddly soft toy on our first date that was kinda cute. I ruined that one though lol.


And after him I dated another guy and he picked me up from my class, bought me lunch and took me to a very romantic park overlooking the London view. He also gave me his jacket to wear. This was our first date. On our second date, he asked me to wear a matching jacket (lol) and bought me a Swarovski bracelet and took me to a very expensive place. He took some photos of me and of us together and then took me out for lunch. We broke up right after that lol.


I really haven’t been spoilt much at all!! My ex boyfriend was LD and he always said when we live together he’d bring me breakfast to my bed, straighten my hair for me and brush my teeth for me. I found that kinda weird and he’s all talk no action.

My last ex spoiled me with my love for boba tea, foodies to my tumtum, & surprised gifts. The surprise gift for example was like when he came over my house with a lot of super cuteeee succulents (because he knew I've been wanting it) that he got personalized for me along taking me out on a night date. I loved it, and felt thought of because its the things I like! He wasn't romantic very often, but he can be whenever he chose to be haha. The important thing is when a guy actually pays attention and remember what I like/wanted :) Makes me feel love and its romantic~

I dont allow it. If you're not my parent or grandparent, then i won't allow you to spooil me because i’d feel like its an underlying intention of “you owe me/you gotta pay me back by doing this this that”

Absolutely. My boyfriend knows I’m a brat. He honestly gets me anything I want. He buys my gas. He fills it up. Whenever we go to the grocery store, he buys my groceries. m mind you I don’t ask him to do any of these things.
