First love has to be mutual and you have to have had a relationship with them of some kind. Friendship included. However, falling in love is not the same with love. Either you love the man or you don't. And why did you love the guy/ Otherwise, it's just infatuation because that is what falling in love is. You fell in love with the fantasy of him, but what about the reality of him? You won't know that unless your in a relationship with him, again of some kind. Even in a friendship, you can fall for anything with rose-colored glass.
