Would you be disappointed or angry? Would you see that guy as being weak or insecure? Or would you see it as a good gesture of a guy trying to have the best (first) date with you?
And I am not talking about general advice here, but more like what does she like, what restaurant would she really like to go to, down to maybe how to dress to impress her, or to get matchy with her. All the small things that you might get to know from her after a few dates, if she agrees to go on another date, except you are trying to make the best first impression to assure yourself another date.
Also, would you be mad or grateful to your best friend for doing this? Would your opinion on this change if you initially didn't want to go out with that guy but your friend pushed you to do it (and the date went well)? Has this ever happened to you, or have you ever done this with a guy and hist friend?
