We were at Olive Garden and the server asked if she wanted cheese on her plate and she said “yes.” The server started rolling and whispered “say when” but my girlfriend didn’t hear and she gave her a squint after a few seconds and said “are you fucking kidding me? Give me a new plate.” The server paused, apologized and said that she had asked her. Then my girlfriend said “who the fuck wants that much cheese on their plate.” The girl was like “I’m very sorry ma’am.” My girlfriend was very rude to her. I was face palming 🤦🏻♂️ and so embarrassed about this. My girlfriend was in the wrong here but I had to take her side regardless. I felt so uncomfortable because literally other people were looking at us around our dining area

Seriously though you don't have to take her side. Stand up for what you believe is right no matter who's feelings it hurts or what kind of fight it may cause. That is a red flag because instances like that are rarely one time occurrences and that behavior surely spills into other areas.

Personally, I think that is an indication of her lack of patience, appreciation for other people’s work, place and the person in front of her…YOU! What kind of woman acts like that to another woman, she has no class, no manners. Instead of either just letting it go or breaking up with her.. You can have a conversation with her explaining why you were upset/embarrassed. Hear her side/reasoning and see if she apologies or not. You can base your decision based on her response.
I have worked in the service industry and I have friends who are working in the service industry. Unless the server was rude and attacked your girlfriend first, I see no reason why your girlfriend had to insult the poor server like that. In your case, your girlfriend was clearly in the wrong, she is spoilt and unreasonable.
I think you need to re-evaluate if this is the type of person who want to be with.
I’m not sure what your girlfriend has going on in her life to cause her to react like that towards the server, but obviously it was an abnormal or extreme reaction. I think you should have a talk with her if you haven’t already and figure out what’s going with her. Also, keep in mind that humans are not perfect so she could’ve made a mistake that she realized and be deeply sorry for it.
When I read the first line of so of your question, I thought you were joking. But now that I read the whole thing, yeah I'd be done with that chick. Why would she wait until there's more then what she considered to be an acceptable amount? She could have just said that'll do at any time but waited until it was way to much for her? You didn’t have to accept that behavior, let alone side with the person who did it. Life is full of tough choices. That is deplorable behavior. I wouldn’t accept or condone it. I would have dumped her and left, and handed the server a big fat tip on the way out.

I can understand getting upset when a server messes up but what is disturbing is how she reacted and how badly she treated somebody who just was trying to do a job. It would make me wonder how she would treat me after we got married.
