Why do u think teenage boys struggle so much more in school, than teenage girls (in terms of both grades and behavior)?

I've been a substitute teacher in several continuation high schools (alternative & higher-security schools where kids are sent for poor grades and/or behavior),

in two cities with very different demographics between them.

One thing that I have noticed, is how the ratio of male-to-female students at these continuation school in both cities, is about 7-to-1. So for a class of 28-30 students, only 4-5 would be girls and 25-26 would be boys.

That's a HUGE margin!

Why do u think these continuation schools have WAY more teenage boys than teenage girls?
