How could Helen Keller write letters if she was deaf and blind?

TheAmbernator
If she was only blind, then she could learn brail and hear how to pronounce the words. But she was also deaf, so she wouldn't be able to know what sounds the words made. Like. I could say bread is B-R-E-A-D and tell you how letter sounds, but she couldn't, so she wouldn't be able to comprehend the words, or any words at all. She'd have to be able to hear them to know how they sound to know what words she was typing. You get it?
