How do you know if you're doing well as a leader?

I've held a variety of leadership roles over the years in small things like school, scouts, small project teams, etc. However, now I'm finding myself at the helm of a relatively small non-profit that's starting up, and has decent potential to grow significantly for the community it's in.

Thanks to my past experience I'm pretty comfortable leading a small team of maybe up to 10 or so people, but this situation is intimidating the crap out of me. I'm likely going to be running an organization with dozens of staff and an exponentially larger pool of volunteers.

Do you have any advice for me or some experience your willing to share to help me deal with this or know when I'm doing things right?

Or more important, know when I'm doing it wrong?
