I LOVE MY JOB and would die without it. I am an artisan of lost wax art casting in a foundry. I build sculptures from bookshelf sized hunming bird drinks from tulip for Franklin mint to the life size whale that hangs in the monterey bay aquarium in california. To date I've built 20+ million dollars worth of art and one piece alone has been viewed over 640 million people. As long as one sculpture remains, there so also do I.
My job is emotionally and mentally challenging especially if it involves person being abused or having severe trauma. But I loveeee it overall and the things I learn from others each day! I’m a clinical social worker.
Mehhh...My job is OK. The first few years were stressful but now not so much. There are pros and cons to it like any job. The pay is not bad and the benefits are good. But I work more than I should at times. I put in a lot of off the clock work as they say ( salary not hourly) but the bosses don't see that. I used to get very frustrated when I would work my hump off and the boss would call me in to his office and get his and get ticked over some minor issue and then threaten to fire me over it. Now I have just come to realize that is how most bosses are , they highlight the few negatives and ignore the positives. It can be brutal at times. I just try to make adjustments as best as I can and avoid my boss as much as I can. Right now it has become a job for me. Nothing more. But I guess that is pretty standard for most people. It's just a job and nothing more.
I am still just studying and it sucks because, well, who likes to learn day in and day out until late at night, sacrificing week-ends and a large part of the holidays. But I do that so that I can later in life also be one of those that is looking forward, when the alarm clock rings, to get out of bed a give my little contribution to something I hope will be helpful to all.
I like mine. Can't say what I do because it's all either proprietary, classified, or I just plain don't understand it. But I'm having more fun than I've ever had while working. It's the sort of thing I'd do as a hobby if I didn't have to worry about money, and at a place where there is almost no micromanagement. Kind of ideal, tbh.
I love my job (s) overall, although they can be emotionally demanding and very stressful. I love being a lawyer because of the mental stimulation and challenge, and the thrill of being in Court in front of a jury. Doing trials is like being a story teller. I also love reading and writing so I like the office side too. I also love being a university teacher because it's fun to ask questions and hold meaningful discussions with students.
I more so like the thrill of climbing the ladder and burrowing myself into every department so I know everything and become so valuable they can't replace me
