How do you deal with procrastination and sleeping in?

Last year I didn't have it this bad but this year it's an active problem affecting my school and work life. I find that my attention is very easily driven off from any tasks I may have and that I far too often decide to not get up early and instead sleep until the last possible minute, even though I promised myself the previous day that I'd get up early and get work done.

Somehow I missed my alarm clock by a whole hour and I initially gave up and wanted to just sleep in but I changed my mind, which is a pleasant development. If you get up at least two days in a row, it will be easier to then not give up on subsequent days.
