What do you think of proximate cause?

Proximate cause is a legal concept in tort law which determines whether it was your fault that somebody else got hurt. In the Palsgraf case, Justice Cardozo said the test to determine if you’re the proximate cause of someone’s injury is foreseeability. Could a reasonable person (people argue A LOT about what that is) foresee that what you did would cause the other person to get hurt? If the answer is Yes, then it’s your fault. Justice Andrews proposed a different test, but tbh I forget what it is.
