I am pretty sure employers will look at me and wonder why I am 30 and just graduated college. I feel embarrassed to say the least!
Is this a field that you're still interested in?
Sometimes when people don't do well in classes, it could mean that their major isn't holding their interest.
meh, I am not interested in anything to be honest. I always felt bad since I was never passionate about anything.
That's probably why you've always had problems in school. Because you were never able to find the right thing for you.
Never liked school never passionate about anything
No hobbies either?
No when my depression hit I stop caring about anything. I literally was bed bound. Not leaving my room for years unless I had a meeting with my therapist. When I finally started feel normal again I still had high anxiety and heard voices. Somehow I got a job at Walmart because my mom took me to the intreview. I became a greeter and I did that for 9 months until I quit to be a nanny. As a nanny I had more free time and it was better than being in customer service. Then depression hit me again and I didn’t have any babysitting job since I can’t drive. More anxiety and people want a nanny that could drive. I learn to take bus and train and walk everywhere. I lost some weight but then got depressed again. So I am always constantly going up and down periods. I was just trying to surrive
Somehow, I got a job at amazon where I can come and go anytime for a decent wage
I somehow got tired of working and decided to go back to school after hearing computer programming can work remote and lots of money. So I came back to community college and I try to care. So far I did good for two semester but this one I am just not trying or caring anymore. I have a bad grade and hope I can just pass.
So I haven’t time for or care for aNothing n never had
It's nice that you do have a good job right now. So that's a good start. I'm surprised your doctor hasn't been able to help you find a medication that can help you.
I been on and off depression and doctors. The med made me worse. It did numb my pain and I could y cry anymore. But then the lack of care started getting worse. I feel more able not everyday but I always manage to get back up. I am doing better
I don’t understand how people have it easy. At 21 they have a bachelor around and 24 they have 3 years of work experience. I feel so behind in life. All I do is work and school. And it doesn’t pay off.
It’ll pay off in the end! You also have to realize that not everyone has to work for their college money, some have scholarships or just take out loans or even have family pay for their schooling. That’s why those people finish more quickly. And as far as experience goes they could be doing internships or something while in college.
I have notice more and more people getting scholarships. Like the new generation of college students. Because my Neighbors got scholarships full ride to places like New York and stuff. I don’t understand how that’s even possible.
But they have to pay like 2K a year for room and board. Which is crazy to me to think that people get into university that prove everything.! and then their is me who has to save 30k just to get my bachelors. I am really just over it. If I could quit I would.
I know they’re few and far between, but try looking into jobs that may help pay tuition. I’m applying to a job that does that today in hopes that they’ll hire me.
Have you tried amazon or Babysiting or most reception jobs pay 15 an hour
No I haven’t but that’s something to look into! My drawback is I live in a tourist town so most jobs here are crappy seasonal retail. Anything larger is a half hour drive at the least.
Oh because I work in an amazon warehouse and I basically can come in whenever I want. I am flex but they have full hours if you want to work that much. It sucks but it’s better than kissing customer butt because they complain about everything.
Also full time and part time chance. I just like flex because I get into a mood at time where I don’t care to see anyone! They hire people ASAP and you don’t need a resume.
Wow that honestly sounds great. Thanks for the info😊 also if you ever need anything feel free to message! I remember chatting with you quite often before my last hiatus.
Yes I change it 3 times now. I first was doing regular Degree and then I did dietian then I did animation and now I am doing computer science. According to my school 19 credits but like 6 classes I started failing classes around spring 2015 but 2014 I was doing good that when I started doing general studies No, I would love to be working so I could move out and have some freedom. Not only that save up enough to buy a van and work remotely while I travel but I am already disappointed.
My degree isn’t my goal it’s my step stone to live the life I want. Living remotely and see beautiful places
I think that you should stick with it. The computer science field is a good one to get into as well. On your resume you dont have to list the entire time it took you to get the degree. you can just put the month and year that you graduatedGet help if you need it as well
I was on and off some years. I switch plans etc. then I start taking 3 course per semester
Sometimes more and sometimes less. Right now I can only take one because I have to pass this one to take the next
Hope you ace the final then. I'd quit my job or take a break if it was that important myself so I could devote 110% of my time to it.
I don’t think you understand I can’t quit working Bc I need to live.

Maybe they are the classes. You don't have anyone to go to for help?
I failed many times n barely pass in others.
perhaps you're studying the wrong subjects?
Tell me about it.
Wait what, you haven’t finished highschool yet?
