Not all of it is invalidated though, and sometimes things aren't even invalidated but improved upon. Like anything, I understand you have to take it with a grain of salt. I'm curious, do you have any examples you want to share about science fooling people or otherwise?
Plenty of examples available.When DDT was introduced on the markets, it was marketed as a miracle solution against weed even though scientists were fully aware of the negative impacts DDT had on the environment.When DuPont introduced Teflon, they also eere fully aware that the content of C8 was causing cancer, yet they did not inform the public about it. They went as far as to place a former high ranking DuPont official as the head if the EPA Agency and manipulate the organization that is responsible to protect the population into playing down the dangers of Teflon.There are hundreds such cases that make me mistrust science.
