That's it, seriously? It's that easy? I spent 30 minutes working it out. I thought you needed to use trigonometry and calculus then find the cosine then use the pythagorean theorem.
Well once you figure out the third side it is.
I did figure out the 3rd side, which is 13. So I did half of 13 = 6.5
Which is where you went wrong; as they wanted the hallway point in the race, which was the perimeter of the triangle. And not the middle of the hypotenuse. If you ever need more math help feel free to message me; I used to tutor algebra and I love math. Though it might be a little while before I can get back. I can't use my phone at work; and I do need to sleep every so often.
