Wait so they have ur familyline back to 1280?
@interstellar That is as far as my mother was able to trace back our ancestors, yes.
@interstellar When I think of it, it is mindboggling. That was before Columbus discovered the Americas, before Napoleon and a number of discoveries. I am trying to place myself into those people and the way they lived.Sadly, I see from the ancestry chart that at times, 8 out of 10 children died before the age off 2...
**.. died before the age of 2*
Ok, everyone has their choice. Although you can't share your ethnicity, thanks for sharing your choice. Im part of several genetic, ethnic, and ancestry groups online. Im really into history and was gravitated towards genealogy. Although it doesn't sound like this is your thing. Thanks for sharing. It is fantastic what you know how far back ur lineage goes. If I can recall from my father's side, I've gone as far back was the late 1400s. Also, Columbus didn't discover North America and the majority of the Americas. But he did go to several islands and some south American coast. From what I can recall.
You are right. Columbus and his discoveries are highly controversial. Other sources name the Vikings as the first settlers in North America.
Damn still thats mind blowing they have it on record
That's awesome! Thanks for sharing 😀
Lol 😆 to funny jj... *bows*
It's pretty fun to have blood from Wales :)
Is it? Lol I don't know why that place sounds like the most boring place in the UK 🇬🇧 but I don't know much about wales
I guess I keep thinking about the princess from Wales 🙄 that was Diana right? 🤔
Yes it was Diana. I guess we are practically cousins now 😱🤣🇬🇧
There you go! Cousins with princess Diana... My mind is officially blown 😵🙊🤕
@chapawapa Chapawapa sounds Native American. Are You?
Yes. Also, there is a theory that the Viking came to a part of the Americas way before the colonization of the Americas.
@chapawapa What Nation/tribe? I have heard and seen research, showing some Vikings came to North America, long before Columbus!
Different tribes. From Mexico region region im going to assume Zacatecos. But have no clue. From the USA region im from the Apache Mescalero clan and Canada region Blackfoot Blood Clan. This side is from my biological fathers side.
@chapawapa COOL!! I met a Lakota Elder, from the Rosebud Reservation, in college, and he changed my life!! He was so cool, and took the time to talk, and teach, and NEVER said anything about whites, almost destroying his people!I have been totally interested, and reading all kinds of books, since then!I don't know these Nations, you, but I will Google, and learn what I can, of course!Have you ever done the Ancestry testing, to see who you are related to, that maybe you don't even know? :)
Apache is pretty well known in parts of the USA. Blackfoot tribe is more well known in Canada. When I watched wonder woman I was jumping up and down in my theater seat when the character "Chief" was in speaking our ancestors language. Language is dying now But its a fight to keep it alive. And that actor is blackfoot as well. From the same clan.
Also I did ancestry DNA. No one familiar to me all distant
@chapawapa Sooo Cool!! I wanted to learn Lakota, from that Elder, but he passed, shortly after the next class started! Now, I only have tapes, and so many amazing things, just seem to be fading away!!Such a HUGE LOSS!!!

I let out a word... over the last couple thousand years...
That's awesome! Yeah Zacatecas was a big settlement area for the spainards Hi cousin hahah
Now a days there are several of those! I need to do that.
I want to try the 23andMe DNA... Haha that will gives different details on migration routes and and how much neanderthal DNA we have 🤣
Wow yes that would be great to see how it compares with the first one that you took.
The only people who don't have neanderthal DNA are the Africans who never migrated out of Africa during that time in Human Development... Interesting facts isn't it
So we in-bred with the Neanderthals huh? LOL
Basically lol 😆
American isn't an Ethnicity. But it sounds like you have Germanic DNA awesome.
I think American is an ethneticity and as American I am entitled to my opinion so stop suppressing me or I'll be offended
American isn't an ethnicity. American is a nationality. Just like Canadian or Mexican, it is not an ethnicity but a nationality. You can have an opinion, and so can I. There is no need to guilt people to stop expressing their voice because you might be offended. Plus, you can't suppress here, nor would I care too. Just because my voice isn't in agreeance with you doesn't mean im suppressing. If people offend you, it doesn't mean it was intentional. It's just a disagreement.
Lol I thought it was obvious that I was kidding but apparently not so please accept my sincere apology
Very cool did you use ancestry? 23andMe? Something else?
My own laboratory
That's awesome 👍 have you taken a DNA test or want to?
I want too I did not realize was that detail in it for the price defo will soon

Ooo are you from the UK? Yeah I hear UK has different testing companies that tailor to Europe
Yes I don't think it's that though it's for everywhere but not to sure
