Would it be worth it to learn another language?

I currently speak English and Welsh but I kid of want to learn German cause I kind of want to visit Germany but I know it’ll take a lot of work to learn it, so should I bother?

Master

German is a relatively difficult language to master and if it is only to visit Germany for a few days, then do not bother to go through the hassle to learn that language.

You can get through most touristic places in Germany with English and sign language.

German has a few tricky grammatical twists that require a steep learning curve. Also, it has 3 distinctive genders (male, female, neutral), each one having specific difficulties. Also, the 4 basic genders ( nominative, accusative, dative, and genitive) are very specific and also, the sentence composition is not identical to the English language.

I can say with a 100% certainty that it's worth it. I have been learning Spanish and french for several years now and I really enjoy them. It does take a lot of work, but it will be worth it in the end.

I don't think it would be worth learning to speak fluent German just for a visit, but maybe some common words and phrases.

I live in South Wales so nobody ever really speaks welsh in public but I tend to speak it at school and sometimes with my family and friends, mostly with my grandma
