How do I get past this writers issue - any advice here?

Question

So I came up with 12 principles for living like Jordan Peterson's except my 12 rules only apply to religious people

And I realized after working on the first principle that I've run out of things to say. If I go into detail - I can take my paragraphs and fluff it out into a real book but I don't want to waste my readers time with unnecessary padding just to make my book longer.

Will I get more ideas by reading other people's books?
Should I go into detail?

How do I lengthen my 12 chapters?

I think you need to focus on a common readers time. I'd focus on learning about your readers. How long they read at a time and what that means in terms of what you will write and at what length you will write it

You can always interview people or write their stories to prove each point. People usually like that a lot. Or maybe you can share a past experience you solved by following your religious principle.
