What's better? Academically trained or "street smarts"?

academics are people who spend all day thinking about ideas but never implementing them. they are easily fooled by ideas that sound good on paper but doesn't work in real life.

streets people have a good understanding of human nature but don't have all the knowledge they could.

both have downsides. but i find the world lacks wisdom more than it lacks knowledgeable people

Guess what no one is giving you money for being street smart. Am fairly street smart aka smart enough to avoid the shit going on in my area atm (knife crime and muggings)

Street smarts is better. Most Academic individuals can't think for themselves or problem solve.

Street smart is something you can't learn in school. In fact, you have to figure it out on your own by observing others and etc.

Academic training teaches among other things critical thinking and critical thinking is important in virtually every situation that you will encounter in life that requires a decision that isn't immediately clear. Street smarts is the expression people who have no education use.
