Guys, if you owned a business & had a wife that knew nothing of the field would you give her a say in how it works/who you employ, etc. & if yes why?

Just trying to figure out why this guy / employer let his wife who knows little to nothing about the industry we're in have a say in employees. What they've got are morons and by default she's going to be responsible for running his business into the ground by hiring / retaining people as ignorant of the field as her.
