Have you ever skipped school?

Yes I did it a bunch of times when I was in high school. There were rules but they were not enforced that much. Like you couldn't have more than 3 absences without a reason like being sick or having some kind of an appointment etc. But you could have more than 3 and they wouldn't count all of them somehow. I don't know exactly how their system worked. It was a school with a lot of rich kids so maybe that's why they were more lenient.

I remember one time they specifically told us in advance that there would be an important class and we all had to be there. I was having a shitty day that day and I really didn't feel like staying in school but I remembered them telling us this so I skipped gym class and went to the library and watched a movie and then I went to this class.

There was this new teacher that was getting tested she had to teach a class and everyone was there the principal and the vice principal and a bunch of other people from some agency who were testing the teacher. And All the girls showed up (6) but for some reason all the guys decided to not come to this class in gym class. I don't know what they were thinking. It made the principal look so bad and they were in huge trouble afterwards.

Well they were still rich kids so it was only medium trouble but they directly pissed off the principal which was a big mistake and I actually got praised by everyone except the gym teacher but he was a douche anyway so I didn't care :D We had a class with 7 students it was funny but she did a good job and I participated a lot to make up for everyone who was missing ^^

I rarely skipped a whole day of school because I had to get up and go anyway because my parents were at home so it wasn't gonna work. I just skipped individual classes sometimes when I really didn't feel like going.

Cool shirt. Yeah, I used to skip regularly not the whole day, just one or two classes I didn't like the teacher or the class. For example I would skip my Trigonometry class because the teacher hated on me so much I hated to be there.

My senior year I had the Annual/journalism class my last period, so I would say I was going to go walk around town and get stores to sign up for advertising, then I would just go to a couple and take the rest of the day off early. I did that pretty much every day toward the end of the year. I did actually get a lot of adverts for the annual though and raised a fair bit of money. :D

I never skipped school in high school. I had my first baby when I was in college, so I missed a lot of classes related to that, but still graduated in 4 years.

There are days in grade school 5th grade i tell mama i'm not feeling well that i can watch d orange haired laid back cinderella. I don't know f you know it. It's everday in abs~cbn ph local chanel maybe.

Kind of? In high school, I took about 20 days off to work on my college application portfolio. But my parents were cool with it, and I still got all my schoolwork done in like an hour each day and still graduated with an almost perfect GPA. Just goes to show how fuckin useless public school is, that it drags out work for 8 hours when it can be done in 1. I would've done it more, but 20 absences was the max we were able to have per year.

But no, I've never snuck out of school to do mushrooms at the skatepark lol.

Yeah, skipped a few things, looking back some of the reasons for skipping where pathetic, some were valid.

my old school did an investigation in to numbers, what classes, what teachers etc and found certain subjects had highest rate and also certain teachers had highest levels of kids skipping school.

this meant if one of those teachers taught one of those lessons, it’s a miracle anyone turned up.

we also had teachers caught skipping school, mainly as we would bump in to them as we were trying to keep a low profile as were they lol.

when i was at school i skipped literally every single day, i only went to homeroom for attendance and then jumped the gate with some homies and dipped school, come back for lunchtime to eat and chill with other friends and well this story could go on forever cause it gets pretty crazy but long story short my whole clique got kicked out at like 14

Never have, however there was one time in year 12 that the rest of the class skipped our history lesson and hung out elsewhere. So it ended up just being me, my friend and the teacher.

I can't remember whether they punished the other kids but it was nice that the teacher went out of her way to treat us, got us a bunch of biscuits, made us hot chocolate and made it a really laid back pleasant study session.

Last year, I skipped half the school year just because I hated the work. I still passed with getting a fix to my schedule, thankfully. But, now, if I ever miss a day of school, it's because I overslept.
