So I was supposed to have a job interview over WhatsApp but they're late?

Question

I've been waiting for 20 mins and I'm not entirely sure I care about this job. If they're already starting like this whats the point.
Am I being unreasonable?

I would professionally and politely send them an email letting them know you showed up and were waiting but be very humble about it and say it might have been your mistake, perhaps you got the appointment time wrong. Not saying you did, but it's actually possible and makes you come across as humble and forgiving at the same time. Then also on the off chance it was your mistake or even if it wasn't but they think it was, you don't come off as arrogant. This sort of thing can happen where someone makes a mistake but thinks it was the other person who made the mistake and there is no convincing them otherwise.

If you don't want the job, then let it go. But if you do want it, I would be as professional and reasonable as possible and just be polite and understanding if they apologize. Everyone makes mistakes and hopefully if you do get hired this sort of puts them in your pocket.

It's a fair thought. I think you have to ask yourself what you are willing to do and what you want to do. Hopefully they got in touch with you but if they did not, it's best to just move on to a job that you both want and they respond better

No idea hun. I did think it was weird, but it was the recruitment agency that set it up. I have no way of proving its real or not. I called the agency and she said she will find out what happened. And even said, that's odd.
Do agencies lie?

I really wish everyone would know more about the social media apps ( WhatsApp, Instagram, Snapchat, Wicker , kik , ETC.) it has gotten to the point where these social medias are being taken over by scammers and con artists. As best as I can tell you, if somebody want you to interview on a social media site, 90% of the time it is just simply to take over your account. Let me guess... After you were informed you would be interviewing over WhatsApp, the app sent you a special code that you had to give them to join the conversation? I do hope that you didn't have any vital information on your app or Gallery that they could have had access to.

I am in a place where I really don't have the time for bull. Either they want me or they don't. There was no data or code or anything else. I presume my display picture of myself with the Snapchat filter as a little piggy was off putting. Or this role was fake.
This industry can be quite challenging as the business owners can dislike you asking for specifics.

This is common practice in the industry to run late but the agency hasn't even bothered to contact me so I can only presume they've found someone already. Or they've spoken to my current employer since the industry is so small.
